CUSTOM TRIPS

Custom trips are well suited for groups or individuals who either desire more in-depth photo instruction, or who are looking for locations and are interested in concentrating on the best locations during the best times of the day. Any of the tours I normally offer may be done as a custom trip, and there are endless opportunities to explore other lesser known locations that are equally intriguing.  We'll work together to design a trip that meets your specific interests and available time , and that will provide you with the best possible opportunities to create the kinds of images you envision.

 OTHER POSSIBILITIES

NATIVE AMERICANS

I have known and worked with different native peoples of the southwest for years, and they are not only fascinating people but excellent subjects for photography. I don’t offer sessions with native models as a regular trip, but they are well suited for custom trips. Model releases are given for private use—shows and exhibits, etc., but not for commercial use.

                                                                   WORKING COWBOYS

Southwest Colorado is true "Wild West Country", and working ranches and real "cowboys" still exist as a connection to the old days. Sessions with cowboys working their horses and cattle, portraits, etc. amidst the incredible scenery offer wonderful and exciting photo opportunities.

   ANCIENT RUINS

The Four-Corners was once the home to the Anasazi, the Ancestral Pueblo people of Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon, Hovenweep, and hundreds of other fascinating and picturesque ancient villages.  For those with an interest in the "Ancient Ones", we can explore the well known locations as well as hidden ruins in quiet canyons where pottery still litters the ground and the spirits of the Hisatsinom, the "Long Ago People" of the Hopi,  can still be felt.

HISTORIC ROUTE 66

Some of the best preserved sections of the Mother Road run through Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. We can explore, photograph, and drift along in the nostalgia of the old road at a pace that is not determined by an itinerary.

Fees for most custom trips are $350/day for one person and $500/day for two to four people. The client is responsible for transportation and lodging, modeling fees when required, and any entrance fees. Terms are negotiable for groups larger than four.
