CUSTOM TRIPS

These trips are designed for groups or individuals who either desire more in-depth instruction or who are looking for locations want to concentrate on the best areas during the best times of the day. We'll plan our days as the come and let the weather, light and our particular interests determine our direction and schedule. Compared to the fairly rigid schedule of a regular workshop, the chances of creating superior images is significantly better. We'll work together to design a trip that meets your specific interests and time and offers you opportunities to create the images you envision. Any of the locations described for regular trips make even better custom trips, and here are a few other possibilities that aren't offered as regular trips.
NATIVE AMERICANS

The Navajo and Ute people occupy some of the most beautiful country in the southwest and the color and vibrancy of these people blends naturally into the landscape. I have known and worked with these people for years, and they are not only fascinating people but excellent subjects for photography, and are well suited for those who are serious about photography and creating images that are difficult to obtain. The photographer is give the right to use the images for non-commercial purposes such as shows and exhibits, but not for sales to magazines or other for-profit enterprise. To use the images commercially an agreement must be made separately between the photographer and the model.

WORKING COWBOYS

Southwest Colorado is true "Wild West Country", and working ranches and real "cowboys" still exist as a connection to the old days. Sessions with cowboys working their horses and cattle, portraits, etc. amidst the incredible scenery offer wonderful and exciting photo opportunities.

The Four-Corners was once the home to the Anasazi, the Ancestral Pueblo people of Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon, Hovenweep, and hundreds of other fascinating and picturesque ancient villages. For those with an interest in the "Ancient Ones", we can explore the well known locations as well as hidden ruins in quiet canyons where pottery still litters the ground and the spirits of the Hisatsinom, the "Long Ago People" of the Hopi, can still be felt.

TAOS, TAOS PUEBLO, AND THE SANTA FE TRAIL COUNTRY

I also offer this trip as a regular trip, but as usual, following itineraries necessities bypassing many exciting locations for those interested in a nostalgic look back into a fascinating era in our western heritage. While there are specific destinations, this is more a trip where it's the journey that's important, and part of the adventure is to see what the travels bring.
