Historic Route 66: Amarillo, TX to the California Border

Join me for a week or two along America’s most famous and most loved highway. This trip, which will follow the Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona sections of the old highway can be taken in one two week trip or two separate week long trips.

Fall in the Rocky Mountains

Several years ago when I was working on a book titled “Among the Aspens”, I stopped in a ranger station in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho and asked the ranger where he would suggest I go to photograph majestic mountains and golden aspen forests. “Go down around Durango in southwest Colorado. My wife and I go there each year to see it—there’s nowhere else like it. I’ve lived here for 30 years and I agree.
