Fall in the Rocky Mountains

Several years ago when I was working on a book titled "Among the Aspens", I stopped in a ranger station in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho and asked the ranger where he would suggest I go to photograph majestic mountains and golden aspen forests. "Go down around Durango in southwest Colorado. My wife and I go there each year to see it—there’s nowhere else like it. I’ve lived here for 30 years and I agree.
