Adventures in the Lands of Enchantment
For those who want to experience
the magic of the Four-Corners, with or without an emphasis on photography,
there are numerous possibilities. These are exclusively custom trips
which we will plan together to meet your specific interests and
schedule. Besides the better known places such as Monument Valley,
Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Dead Horse Point, and other
locations in southeast Utah, there are many more options.
Accompanied by a native guide, you can explore some of the
more isolated areas in the lands of the Ute and the Navajo. Or you
can wander in secluded canyons which hide the villages of the ancient
Anasazi. You can spend a day, or several, visiting rock art sites
which are hundreds, and even thousands of years old, spend a night
in the hogan of some Navajo friends in the depths of spectacular
Canyon de Chelly, or hike with llamas through peaceful aspen groves
below 14,000 foot peaks.
You'll learn about the area's natural and cultural history.
You'll watch for eagles soaring in the incredible blue of the southwest
skies, and for mountain lion tracks in the canyons. You'll learn
about the Ute, Navajo, and Pueblo people who have called this land
home for unknown centuries. You'll learn how to make arrowheads,
start a fire with a bow and drill, and to identify pieces of ancient
pottery, the remains of which are still found in incredible abundance
throughout the deserts and canyons.
If you are a photographer, you'll be at the best locations at
the right times to catch the incredible southwest light as it illuminates
some of the world's most amazing landscapes. And regardless of your
specific goals and interests, you'll return home with a deeper understanding
of and connection to this enchanted land.

LANDSCAPES
The cost of a tour where there emphasis is on landscape photography
is $250/day for one person, and an additional $100/day for each

the client is responsible for his own lodging, although I will be
happy to make reservations. My van is also available for $50/day
plus gas, or the client can provide his own transportation.

The cost of a trip where we will be using Native American models

fees. This is negotiable, and I will work out the best possible
arrangements between the client and the models.
FIGURE-IN-THE-LANDSCAPE

Durango area is $350/day for one person, and an additional $100/day
for each additional person. It is an additional $150/day for an
additional model. The client must cover lodging, transportation,
and the models meals for out of town trips to locations such as
southeast Utah.
