Native Americans & Southwest Landscapes

The enchanted canyons and mesas of Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly , provide the backdrop for a truly unique photographic experience. This is the ancestral home of the Navajo, and we will work with members of this fascinating culture to capture the mystery and beauty of these native people. The possibilities for these photo sessions include weavers, dancers, sheepherders, children playing and on horseback, portraits, and more, with the people all dressed in traditional clothing. The Navajo people are the main focus of this workshop, and we will spend three afternoons working with them in the best available light. Each morning we will also be at the best locations in Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly to catch the earliest light on this incredible landscape. We will also spend one afternoon each in Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly shooting in this magnificent light. The combination of the land and its native people provide full days of exciting photographic possibilities.
